Composite aluminium outdoors: why clubs and yards still specify it

When composite aluminium is the right outdoor sign, and what we need from you before it is folded and fitted.

Outdoor signs in Tyrone do not live in a catalogue photograph. They take rain, frost, UV and the odd stray ball. Composite aluminium is still the honest spec for a crest, a name or a large folded panel that has to stay flat and true.

What it is good at

Large faces. Clean folds. Colour that can be matched to a club or a company rather than approximated. It sits on rendered walls, cladding and posts without looking like a poster in the rain. Totems and entrance signs often start from the same family of materials, with illumination added when the gate needs to work after dark.

What it is not

It is not a seasonal correx board you expect to swap in October. It is not a paper print in a snap frame. If you need something for a six-week pumpkin season, we will spec that differently. If you need a crest that should still be there for the next committee, composite is in the conversation.

A club crest is a piece of signage, not a poster. Specify the wall, the fixings and the artwork as one job.

What we need from you

Photographs of the elevation, the size you think you need, and artwork we can actually print from. For GAA and community groups that usually means proper crest files, not a photo of a jersey. For a yard, it means the approach and whether the sign must be read from a moving car.

Statutory and safety signs can run in the same visit: fire, wayfinding, site rules. They should look like they belong to the same operator.

Eskra GAA is a wall-mounted crest. OHM Engineering is the entrance version of the same thinking, lit. If you already have the wall, start a quote. If you do not, send the photo.
